Birchbox is a monthly beauty box priced at £12.95 a month (That includes P&P). I’ve always been curious about Birchbox. From photos I’ve seen around the internet it’s always looked like a high quality beauty subscription and seemed to have a good selection of items included. The one thing that put me off, and it’s the same reason I cancelled some of the other subscription boxes I had, was that sometimes (or quite a lot of the time in past cases) you get items you don’t want or won’t use and end up binning or giving them away. I’ve been keeping an eye on Birchbox’s previous boxes and I’ve only spotted a couple of bits I wouldn’t use.
This month however, I got a little bit obsessed over the really colourful mermaid box they were sending! Fortunately for me I came across someone selling their box as they didn’t like the contents and were going to return it, so to save the middle man I bought it from them to try out!

I hope you all had a wonderful festive season and happy new year! This year I’ll be bringing you more awesomeness, hopefully on a more regular schedule! I can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store for us!
So let’s kick of 2017 with something kawaii! Yume Twins is a monthly cute themed subscription box all the way from Japan which contains 5 high quality items. I believe they have recently re-done the boxes to contain less things but higher quality items. All the contents of the box are premium character goods and are licensed. For $29.99 (or less depending on which plan you sign up too) a month you will received a mixture from plushies, lifestyle, apparel & accessories, stationeries or knickknacks and toys. The boxes are free shipping worldwide. My youngest sister bought me a Yume Twin’s monthly subscription box as a gift, which arrived last weekend which is crazy fast from Japan considering when they shipped with all the holidays in between!
If you haven’t received your box yet and don’t want spoilers, don’t hit the cut below!

The lovely folk over at Nibboxx sent me a yummy 50/50 snack box to review! Check out my thoughts in the video above.
Here’s some close up of the box – how awesome is the shape? It definitely makes it stand out in the post!
The front of the box features some information on your new snack box – the snacks are nutritionally balanced, so tasty and good for you too!
The delicious snacks I was sent, from the top left: coca glazed almonds, dried white chocolate raspberries, date and walnut bars and chill and lemon pop corn. My favourites were definitely the almonds, they were so morish! I was very impressed with the portion sizes – these were very generous. As I mentioned in the video the little pods are the perfect size to pop in a bag and take out and about with you – if they make it out of the house that is, they are that good!
The leaflet included with the box – This is personally addressed to me which I thought was a lovely touch, it makes the box feel much more personal. The leaflet also contains the type of box (50/50) and the nutritional information on the other side.
Nutritional information, allergies, organic information over view.
Organic Nibboxx date & walnut bar.
Dried white choice raspberries
Cocoa glazed almonds.
Gourmet Popcorn – Chilli & Lemon.
I want to say thank you to Nibboxx for sending me this fun box to try out! I’m really very impressed with this box – the variety of snacks was fantastic – I love that they offer different boxes – especially the gluten free one (My Mum can’t have anything with gluten in so it’s something I’m always on the look out for). This is the first snack subscription that I’ve found that offers a gluten free selection. I love the personalised leaflet with the nutritional breakdown on, this is something that’d be very handy if you are working on a macro based diet and for those watching their calorie intake too.
